Innovative New Metal Tiles Aimed At DIY Market

Announcement posted by Don't Call Me Penny 07 Oct 2016

Just lauched. A small Australian business has innovatively created a range of self-adhesive metal tiles for the DIY market. Now homeowners can have high-quality, Grade A fire rated metal tiles they can install themselves with no grout or glue required.

Metal used in home décor continues to be popular with Architects and Interior Designers. However, until now, homeowners didn’t have their own DIY option.

‘That Metal Company’ in Bowral has answered the call creating a new range of self-adhesive metal tiles aimed at the DIY market. Easy to install, Class-A Fire Rated, and in a wide range of finishes, the new metal tiles have been designed to expand the uses for metal in home décor.

The ‘girls behind the metal’ are long-time friends Ali Bambridge and Ange Clarke who enjoy working with a non-traditional product. Seeing a gap in the DIY market for an easy-to-use, on-trend product, Ali and Ange worked with their metal sheet supplier in the USA, Chemetal.

Chemetal, a family-owned company with a 50-year track record, had a tiny range of pop tiles available in only two finishes. That Metal Company created their own range expanding to over 150 finishes and three sizes. Homeowners can now use a proven product the same as that used by Architects, Interior Designers and Joiners.

Ange says the launch of the self-adhesive metal tiles heralds a new and easy way for homeowners to create a feature wall, splash back, wall art, even a tabletop or wardrobe panels. Tiles are easily cut with heavy-duty scissors and do not require grout or glue.

“Metal and metal laminates are surprisingly versatile adding a unique warmth to interior décor,” says ‘That Metal Company’ Director, Ange Clarke. “Our metals are deeply brushed, aged, and with patinas created by hand or machine. The range of unique finishes and colours include traditional bronze, copper, and aluminum variations plus colours such as emerald green, gold, and berry pink.”

Whilst metal laminate sheets require special handling, the ‘That Metal Company’ self-adhesive metal tiles can be shipped in a small cardboard box. For DIY renovators, a beautiful custom finish can be achieved in a few hours. Cleaning is achieved with a soft cloth and mild soap, or nonabrasive glass or metal cleaning liquids.

That Metal Company is the exclusive distributor of their new self-adhesive metals tiles.

End of release…
