Epitome: Google to take its Search and go home

So, where to start with this veritable sh!tshow? Well Asha Barbaschow from ZDNet covered Google threatening it was going to take its bat and ball and head home if the code becomes law. According to Barbaschow, senators accused Silva of blackmail with the Australian Google general manager not denying the charge, but saying that pulling Search was the “worst case scenario”. Instead, Google proposed News Showcase which would feature licensed news content, allowing for media companies to be paid directly [Gizmodo, Ausdroid, Business Insider, EFTM, Tech Guide, InnovationAus, CRN, Which-50, iTnews].
