Zee withdraws its application for merger implementation from NCLT

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE) has made the decision to retract the merger implementation application that was submitted to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai bench.   According to the release, the application was initially filed by ZEE on January 24, 2024, in order to seek guidance on the implementation of the Composite Scheme of Arrangement involving ZEE, Culver Max Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., and Bangla Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.  The Company's choice to withdraw the implementation application was made following advice from the Board, after thorough consultations with legal experts. This move will allow the Company to focus on growth and explore strategic opportunities to enhance value for its shareholders. The Board is dedicated to reviewing the strategic actions taken by management and providing timely guidance, as mentioned in a press release. Holly Berckelman has been promoted to Digital Editor at Body+Soul.  Berckelman updated her LinkedIn connections about the transition and added that she was ‘proud and excited’ to take up the new role. Her post received several congratulatory messages from industry peers, who cheered her on for the milestone and called it a ‘well-deserved’ growth. Previously, Berckelman worked as a resident food writer for Backyard Opera for nearly two years before moving to NewsCorp in 2020, where she subsequently assumed marketing and production roles for Food and Travel, Stellar and Body+Soul.  She was most recently the online content producer for Body+Soul, a role which she held for more than a year.
