Stefanovic returns to Weekend TodayBy Jonas Lopez in Media News on Wednesday, 10th January 2018 at 5:20pm
Peter Stefanovic is back at hosting duties for Weekend Today.
Nine Network revealed today that Stefanovic has been recalled to the post after spending the past year working for 60 Minutes.
Fellow 60 Minutes reporter Alison Langdon will join Stefanovic, and current co-host Jayne Azzopardi in front of the camera. However, both Stefanovic and Langdon will still contribute material to 60 Minutes as story assignments arise.
“To be asked back to co-host Weekend Today is a privilege, and it definitely feels like I’m returning home. I’ve known Ally for more than ten years. She’s a great journalist, smart and funny, and I look forward to working alongside her and Jayne,” said Stefanovic.
“What a team to wake up with every weekend. The dynamics and professionalism of Ally, Pete, and Jayne guarantees a relaxed and warm start to your weekend, and I couldn’t be happier,” added Nine Network news director, Darren Wick.
