With the aim of educating journalists and equipping them with life-saving skills, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, Kolkata, conducted a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session for members of the Mizoram Journalists’ Association (MJA) in Aizawl. The session was organised under the hospital’s outreach initiative, “Anveshana – Medical Education for Media”, IndiaTodayNE reported. During the event, held at Hotel Regency, participating journalists were given a step-by-step demonstration of CPR procedures by doctors, who explained how timely intervention within 18 minutes can significantly improve the chances of survival during cardiac arrest. Journalists were awarded CPR Training Certificates and Health Cards from Manipal Hospital EM Bypass. The health cards will enable them to access various healthcare services at Manipal facilities across the country.  

November 11, 2025, marked the 30th death anniversary of N.K. Sanajaoba, one of Manipur’s most fearless journalists, writers, and thinkers. Born on December 30, 1936, in Singjamei Wagam Kshetri Leikai, Imphal, Sanajaoba was a man of many talents — a journalist, teacher, broadcaster, scout leader, trade unionist, and cultural activist. He began his education at Khongman LP School and graduated from DM College, where he served as the magazine secretary and displayed an early passion for writing and public life. Sanajaoba founded the monthly journal Lamyanba and became its first editor under the Pan Manipuri Youth League (PMYL). The Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association (DKDWJA) has announced its newly elected representatives for the 2025–2028 term. Pushparaj B N has been elected president, while Rajesh K Poojary will serve as general secretary. Vijay Kotian Padu was elected unopposed as treasurer. Fayaz Dilbar, a respected journalist, playwright, and poet, passed away in Srinagar on November 9 following a major heart attack. He was 68. Dilbar had been battling chest-related health issues and reportedly suffered the fatal cardiac arrest around 8 p.m. His funeral is scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. in his native village, Darbagh, Harwan. He is survived by his wife and son. Born and raised in Maharaj Gunj, Srinagar, Dilbar began his journalistic career with the Srinagar Times. In the early 1980s, he co-founded the Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) alongside fellow journalist and writer Imdad Saqi. Operating from the Dar Building at Madina Chowk, KNB emerged as one of the region’s most active and influential news agencies of its time, according to Kashmir Life. Beyond journalism, Dilbar was widely admired for his contributions to Kashmiri literature, particularly in the realms of drama and poetry.
