WPP AUNZ welcomes new Ogilvy CommonHealth Australia GM

Kristina Luburic (photo credit: WPP AUNZ)WPP AUNZ satellite agency Ogilvy CommonHealth Australia has appointed its medical communications director, Kristina Luburic (pictured), as its new general manager.

She assumes the post from five-year incumbent Gary Pattison, who stays on as WPP Health & Wellness AUNZ CEO. The move allows Pattison room to manage WPP’s health and wellness portfolio.

Luburic is an experienced hand within the Ogilvy CommonHealth Australia family, having spent the past nine years in the company in director-level positions, plus nine years in other medical communications agencies.

“I’m truly honoured to take the position of GM at OCH and lead our passionate and uniquely talented team in creating inspiring and life-changing work for our clients,” said Luburic.

VMware lands former Spectrum GM

After almost 12 years at the Spectrum Group, Rachel Beauchamp (nee York) has gone in-house at technology firm VMware, as Australia and New Zealand communications manager.
 
Most recently, Beauchamp was general manager for Spectrum Group, having spent 12 years at Spectrum and sister agency Max Australia.
 
“I’d been with Max and then Spectrum for 12 years and one week, and in that time I had a range of roles and experiences, and it was a fantastic learning environment working with a lot of great clients and colleagues,” Beauchamp said.
 
While being part of the management team that guided Spectrum through its transition from traditional PR agency, to integrated communications services provider, was a rewarding experience, Beauchamp said she increasingly found herself wanting to get back to her roots.

Mirum Australia announces new leadership talent

WPP AUNZ digital agency Mirum Australia is celebrating the appointment of two new leadership positions this week.
 
The news comes shortly after Mirum first opened up shop in Sydney last month, bringing Evan Crompton on as service design director, and Rebecca Luiters as delivery experience director.
 
Crompton’s history includes work across a number of leading Australian brands, with his most recent post being user experience and service design consultant at Aptor Digital.
 
Luiters has experience with the likes of MRM/McCann, Adcorp, Wunderman and Draft FCB, most recently working as a senior digital producer at The Works.
 
Both Crompton and Luiters now form part of Mirum’s senior management team, reporting directly to Mirum’s MD Claire van Heyningen.

Agent99 brings three new clients aboard

Independent PR and communications agency Agent99 announced the addition of three new clients to its roster this morning.
 
First up is charity organisation CanTeen’s National Bandanna Day awareness campaign. Agent99 will work to drive awareness of the event through nationwide research and influencer campaigns.
 
Swedish outdoor gear and equipment company Fjallraven makes two, with Agent99 working to support the launch of Fjallraven's first Aussie flagship store in Melbourne.

JWT lands DFAT Smartraveller assignment

WPP AUNZ satellite outfit J. Walter Thompson (JWT) has won the service contract for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s (DFAT) Smartraveller support service.

Under a new deal which starts today, JWT will craft Smartraveller’s brand strategy. DFAT chose JWT for the assignment based on its strong record with creating effective brand strategies.

"We are thrilled to be leading the new brand strategy for Smartraveller and supporting the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s commitment to encouraging safe travel by Australians overseas,” said JWT-Sydney managing director Paul Everson.

Text100 leadership reorganised

The Australian branch of marketing communications consultants Text100 has a new leadership team in place, as it moves into new digs in Surry Hills.

At the top, Karen Coleman is back from maternity leave and has taken up the MD position to fill the void left by Simon Fitzgerald, who stepped down in May this year as acting MD and VP for integrated marketing, to take up a managerial job at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.

Former MD Karen Wells is back from maternity leave and has been promoted to VP Consulting & Strategy while principal consultant Mihika Gujral is promoted to deputy managing consultant.   

Current strategist Bec Madden has been included in the leadership team to oversee creative strategy efforts while also hiring new people to the creative team.

The staff movements come as Text100 is preparing to relocate to a new office out in Surry Hills.

InsideOut lands new clients

A number of companies have been added to InsideOut’s client list, reported Mumbrella.

For the food and consumer products field, InsideOut will handle the account of Evia, a yogurt company based in Marrickville, NSW.

In the e-commerce section, InsideOut will handle PR and communication work for global digital consultancy RANDEM.

InsideOut’s industrial portfolio will include representation for Super Easy Storage, a nationwide storage unit provider.

Fresh produce marketing and distribution company Freshmax and professional moving firm Hire A Mover, meanwhile, secured a partnership with #AsSeenOn, InsideOut’s influencer marketing division.
