Taco Bell Australia is swapping sad lunches for free tacos

From Monday 9th – Friday 13th May from 12-2pm, fans in Australia will be able to swap snaps of their sad lunches for a free Taco Bell taco -- all part of the brands’ international ‘Taco Swap’ campaign across 25+ markets

AUSTRALIA (6 May, 2022) – Whether it’s lacklustre leftovers or soggy sarnies, Taco Bell is disrupting the sad lunch epidemic with the opportunity to swap the mundane for something más exciting: a Taco Bell taco!

For those looking for a sign to have one of Taco Bell’s famous tacos, look no further. Taco Bell is inviting fans to spice up their lunches by swapping a photo of a sad lunch for a fun, tasty Taco Bell taco…for FREE!

All you have to do is visit your nearest Taco Bell and show a photo of your sad lunch to receive a free Taco Supreme. Taco Swap runs between 12pm to 2pm every day from Monday 9th to Friday 13th May. Choose from a soft or crunchy tortilla shell filled with your pick of seasoned beef or black bean, plus sour cream, tomato, lettuce and shredded cheese.

Taco Bell Australia Marketing Manager Annelise Watson said the Taco Swap campaign was a fun way to shake up Australians’ lunch time slump and spread some cheer.

“We’re thrilled to join the global movement to banish sad lunches and get customers excited about our food,” she said.

“Whether you’re a Taco Bell fan or a first-timer, this is a great chance to get your hands on our tasty tacos and swap out your sad lunch while you’re at it.”

Taco Swap is the continuation of Taco Bell’s first global marketing campaign, ‘#ISEEATACO’ that began with Taco Moon in May 2021. Taco Bell invites consumers to continue to see tacos everywhere. During this time, boring, plain meals won’t stand a chance and can easily be “traded” for Taco Bell’s flavorful tacos.

Taco Swap giveaways will take place in 25+ markets, at participating restaurants for a limited time. There is a limit of one free Taco Supreme per customer.
