West HQ and Heartland Kia Put Families in the Driver’s Seat

For the first time in Australia, families visiting West HQ will be able to test drive Kia's EV5 all-electric SUV without setting foot in a dealership, as part of a major new promotion geared to meet the evolving needs of Western Sydney's multigenerational families.

The unique partnership between West HQ and one of Australia's largest Kia dealerships, Heartland Kia, includes test drive experiences at West HQ, forming part of West HQ's "Yours. Mine. Ours" promotion, running throughout October and November.

West HQ CEO Richard Errington said the partnership reflects a broader shift in how entertainment and lifestyle destinations must adapt to serve Australia's changing family structures.

"Recent data shows one in five households now includes three or more adult generations living under one roof, with Western Sydney leading the trend," Mr Errington said.

"More than a third of homes in the region include four or more residents, compared with 28.8 per cent across Greater Sydney. This demographic reality demands that we rethink how we design experiences and services.

"West HQ was built to serve the whole community, regardless of age or stage of life. We're not a one-dimensional venue, but a destination where families can gather, dine, be entertained and celebrate across generations.

"This partnership with Heartland Kia extends that philosophy by bringing convenient vehicle test drives directly to families where they're already spending time together," Mr Errington said.

Two brand new Kias headline the "Yours. Mine. Ours" prize, giving one lucky family a life-changing win. Valued at $120,000, the package also serves up a year of West HQ dining, family shows at the Coliseum Theatre, stays at Novotel Sydney West HQ, and fitness memberships at SGAC and One55.

Heartland Kia CEO Rohan Meyer said the offering of test drives from a venue such as West HQ was a dealership was a first.

"During the next two months, families will no longer have to take a day out to visit dealership after dealership to find their new car," Mr Meyer said.

"Instead, they can head to West HQ, take a test drive and experience the electric EV5, then have the option of exploring what West HQ has to offer and have the chance to win 2 Kia vehicles."

Families can enter the promotion by spending $25 or more on food and beverages from any of West HQ's   10 restaurants and bars for a chance to win one of 24 keys and be in the running for the grand prize. Weekly key draws will take place every Thursday and Friday throughout the promotional period.

On November 30, all key holders will have the opportunity to attempt to open the prize door, with the successful key holder taking home the prize pool valued at over $120,000. The remaining 23 key holders will receive a $500 cash consolation prize.
