Robbie Cavanagh (UK) Announces Inaugural Australian Tour, Featuring Special Double and Triple Bills

Acclaimed UK singer-songwriter Robbie Cavanagh will make his long-awaited Australian debut this February and March, touring nationally in a series of solo shows and special collaborative line-ups ahead of his appearance at Port Fairy Folk Festival, where the tour reaches its crescendo.

Known for his deep-rooted Americana influences, weathered vocals and emotionally rich songwriting, Cavanagh has quickly earned a reputation as one of the UK's most compelling contemporary folk artists - drawing on classic traditions while delivering songs that feel urgent, personal and distinctly his own.

The Australian tour will see Cavanagh perform solo as well as share the stage in curated double and triple bills, connecting him with kindred spirits from Australia and the UK. Select shows will feature Karen Lee Andrews (Australia), Blair Dunlop (UK), and Dan Webster & Emily Lawler (UK), offering audiences a rare chance to experience multiple acclaimed songwriters in intimate and dynamic settings.

Across the run, Cavanagh will appear:

ROBBIE CAVANAGH

Hailing from Manchester, UK, Robbie Cavanagh is an acclaimed contemporary folk and Americana songwriter whose work blends old-soul depth with a distinctly modern voice. Winner of the Whispering Bob Harris Emerging Artist Award at the Americana Music Association UK Awards, Cavanagh has earned international recognition for his emotionally resonant songwriting and understated authority as a performer.

Following the release of his acclaimed third album Tough Love, he has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, the USA and Canada, appearing at major festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections, Black Deer Festival, AmericanaFest (US & UK) and Folk Alliance International. KAREN LEE ANDREWS

For over two decades, Karen Lee Andrews has built a formidable career as one of Australia's most commanding roots and blues artists. A powerful vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, Andrews' music draws from blues, gospel and roots traditions, shaped by her Polynesian heritage and lived experience.

She has performed at major festivals including WOMADelaide, Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival and Bluesfest, and toured extensively, including a recent three-month national tour with Cold Chisel. Andrews has also shared stages with Icehouse, Jimmy Barnes, Gregory Porter and Jessica Mauboy, earning a reputation as a magnetic live performer capable of commanding a room with voice alone.

Entering 2025, Andrews prepares to release her forthcoming album Survival, continuing her collaboration with producer Benjamin Rodgers (Jimmy Barnes, Emma Donovan). DAN WEBSTER & EMILY LAWLER

Hailing from York, UK, Dan Webster & Emily Lawler bring a vibrant blend of folk, roots and Americana, shaped by influences from both sides of the Atlantic. Known for their warm vocal harmonies, expressive songwriting and dynamic musicianship — including Lawler's Celtic- and country-inflected fiddle — the duo deliver performances that move seamlessly between intimate ballads and uplifting festival moments.
