ABOUT

Artist, Pilot and Award- Winning Photographer Andrew Vukosav's  global touring exhibition 'Longitude Latitude Solitude' has made its way all the way from Australia to Europe and now New York City for the very first time. Vukosav's extraordinary exhibition has been invited by The Permanent Mission of Australia to the United Nations New York, in partnership with the Pacific Islands Forum (New York Missions), to be showcased at the 'Changing Landscapes' Climate Reception on Thursday 5th of February (NY time) at the American Australian Association- ahead of the Artist's official New York debut later this year.

Created from a culmination of Andrew's passion for flight, photography and love of the Australian landscape and after 560 hours and over 142,240 km later-just over three and half times around the globe, this remarkable image series- Ten years in the making, showcases the beauty and fragility of the Australian environment, blurring the lines between photography and abstract paintings.

"I have been holding cameras for my entire adult life and suddenly I realised I was sitting in one" said Vukosav - not long after, 'Longitude Latitude Solitude' was born.

"At Cessnacam, we are privileged to witness the breathtaking beauty of this continent from the skies. From this height, the boundaries of time and map-lines fade, revealing a landscape etched with the stories of one of the oldest living cultures on Earth" said Vukosav.

"As we begin a critical year for climate and ocean action through the UN, Australia is proud to present the 'Longitude Latitude Solitude' exhibition," Australia's Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the United Nations, Mr James Larsen said."These striking images of Australia's diverse landscapes are a reminder of how important it is that we work together to safeguard them for future generations."

With a long history as a top Fashion/Arts photographer working with talent, projects and with brands all over the world for several decades including for Vogue, Christian Dior, Rolling Stone, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Architecture AU and celebrity profiles for Brian Brown, Barry Humphreys, Sophia Vergara, Amber Valletta, Hannah Gadsby, Abby-Lee Kershaw and Samantha Harris to name a few- 'Longitude Latitude Solitude' is an exploration of Vukosav's passion for flight, photography and love our Australian landscape.
