ARM Hub Opens Its Doors for AusBiotech's Medtech Manufacturing Spotlight

Announcement posted by ARMHub 29 Apr 2026

BRISBANE, 28 April 2026 - ARM Hub will host the AusBiotech QLD BioBriefing at its Northgate facility on Tuesday 5 May, giving Queensland's medtech community a firsthand look at what it takes to scale and commercialise in Australia.

The day begins with an invitation-only AI workshop for medtech companies, exploring how artificial intelligence can be applied to real manufacturing challenges. The workshop runs from 11am to 3pm and is open to Industry Growth Program clients and AusBiotech members. Details on future sessions will be announced in the coming weeks.

The event then opens to the broader industry from 3:15pm, starting with a limited-capacity facility tour taking guests through ARM Hub's main factory floor and its new neighbouring manufacturing facility, built to meet growing tenant demand for advanced manufacturing space. The tour also includes a visit to founding partner UAP, which specialises in the design and fabrication of large-scale public artworks and has worked closely with ARM Hub since its establishment in 2019.

A BioBriefing panel and Q&A session follows, featuring perspectives from current and former tenants, partners, and industry leaders on the practical realities of manufacturing in Australia. Speakers include ARM Hub Founder and CEO Professor Cori Stewart, Chief Commercial Officer Samuel Jesuadian, and Gareth Keen, Senior Manager Engineering at Cook Medical.

"Australia has world-class medtech research and talented people building companies in this space," said Professor Cori Stewart. "What we need now is the infrastructure to turn that talent into sovereign manufacturing capability."

"Australia can manufacture medtech at scale, we have the talent, the technology, and the infrastructure," said Samuel Jesuadian, ARM Hub Chief Commercial Officer. "With AI and advanced manufacturing, we don't need to ship innovation offshore anymore."

ARM Hub has supported hundreds of businesses through technology validation, commercialisation, and modernisation since 2019. Its work spans surgical robotics, synthetic data, AI-assisted manufacturing, and advanced fabrication, with industry partners drawn from medtech, agri-tech, and defence.

The BioBriefing is part of AusBiotech's national quarterly series connecting the biotech and medtech community across industry, academia, and investment. Networking drinks close the evening from 6pm, and you can register here to attend.
