100% conceptual. Officially unofficial. Deeply Queensland. Suzuki Queensland has built a one-of-a-kind Jimny prototype wrapped in the colour that defines the State; and is now asking Queenslanders how they feel about the new concept look.
Suzuki Auto Co, the local importer and distributor supporting 32 Suzuki dealerships across Queensland and Northern Rivers NSW, today revealed the
Jimny Maroon Edition; a fully built, one-off prototype that exists for one reason: because Queenslanders deserve to see it.
Born in Queensland and naturally soaked in sunshine, sweat and pool water, the Jimny Maroon Edition concept car wears a colour that has never appeared on a Jimny production line. It's a deep, saturated maroon that Queenslanders don't just recognise, they actually feel it. It's in the soil up north, the surf down south, and every backyard barbecue in between. It's the colour that doesn't need an explanation in the Sunshine State. It just makes sense.
"It's got maroon running through its fuel lines," said Jake Tobin, Marketing Manager at Suzuki Auto Co. "We wanted to build something that felt genuinely Queensland and introduce a conversation about what this state loves and what it wants to see on the road." "This concept Jimny was brought to life in collaboration with Brisbane's premiere customisation shop, The Wrap Boutique".
Queensland Gets the Final Say
With a touch of cheek, Suzuki Queensland is putting the production decision directly to the public, via a dedicated landing page inviting the public to cast a vote on whether the Maroon Edition should go into production.
The mechanic is simple: yes or no. Should Queensland have a Maroon Edition Jimny on the road? Those who vote can register their email to be the first to know the 'official' outcome.
About the Build
The Jimny Maroon Edition retains the full mechanical DNA of the iconic Suzuki Jimny, with its part-time ALLGRIP 4x4, ladder-frame chassis and 210mm ground clearance. The concept car is a Jimny 3-door Automatic, wrapped in a bespoke maroon exterior with white racing stripes and unique badging by The Wrap Boutique, based in Hemmant, Brisbane. Custom made premium leather seating with patterned preparation, maroon highlights and embroidered Jimny Rhino Maroon Edition logos will be added to the vehicle in late July, by local Brisbane company WFC Oz. It is currently the only Jimny of its kind 'in the world'.

The Jimny Maroon Edition won't be hiding in a showroom corner. It will be doing the rounds at selected Suzuki Queensland dealerships: in the flesh, up close, and very much real.
