Apt Wealth Partners releases Her Wealth, Her Terms, a practical financial guide for women

Announcement posted by Apt Wealth Partners 12 Aug 2026

Apt Wealth Partners has launched Her Wealth, Her Terms, a comprehensive guide written for women navigating the financial decisions that shape the second half of their lives.

Her Wealth, Her Terms grew out of conversations Apt advisers have been having with women for years. The same themes surface again and again: a superannuation balance that never quite recovered from a career break, a relationship change that reshaped everything or a decision to step back from work without a clear sense of what it would really cost. Those conversations shaped a clear, practical guide grounded in the realities of women's lives. It is something they can read in their own time, return to as life changes and use to make more confident decisions.

The numbers behind those conversations are difficult to ignore. Australian women aged 55 to 59 retire with an average superannuation balance of around $243,000, compared with around $320,000 for men of the same age. Women also live several years longer on average, which means those savings need to stretch further. Career breaks, caring responsibilities, relationship change and part-time work all compound the gap, and none of it reflects effort or capability.

Her Wealth, Her Terms covers five areas where the financial stakes are highest: career and income transitions, relationship and family change, ethical investing and philanthropy, retirement and long-term security, and intergenerational wealth transfer. It was written by four of Apt's senior female advisers and its Chief Investment Officer, drawing on the conversations they have with clients every day. The guide is deliberately practical rather than promotional. It explains catch-up concessional contributions, transition to retirement strategies, binding financial agreements, superannuation beneficiary nominations, aged care funding and the estate planning documents every woman should have in place.

Her Wealth, Her Terms is available now, alongside a dedicated hub introducing the women advising at Apt, at aptwealth.com.au/financial-advice-for-women.

Financial literacy and independence are what allow women to make decisions on their own terms, whatever their circumstances and whatever stage they are at. Apt has always started its client conversations in the same place: with what matters to the person in front of them, and what a life well lived actually looks like. The financial strategy follows from there. Her Wealth, Her Terms makes that same thinking available to more women, helping them ask better questions, understand their options and approach the decisions ahead with greater clarity and confidence.

The guide also introduces the women behind it. Senior Financial Advisers Tracey Pace, Emily Lanciana, Michelle Heffernan and Elizabeth Wise, alongside Chief Investment Officer Sarah Gonzales, bring expertise spanning financial planning, expat advice, responsible investing and investment research, and decades of experience between them. Each works with women navigating the same transitions the guide covers. The accompanying hub brings together practical guidance, answers to common questions and introductions to the women advising at Apt, giving readers a clearer sense of the support available and the people they can turn to when the time is right.
