Sydney, Australia - August 18, 2026 - Midea, one of the world's largest home appliance and smart home technology companies, has today expanded its Australian laundry range with the launch of its new Midea 210 Front Load Washer and Midea 210 Heat Pump Dryer. This new power duo delivers faster, premium, worry-free garment care alongside industry-leading energy efficiency for long term cost savings. Built with convenience in mind, the new Midea laundry range integrates auto-dosing, eco-friendly cold wash cycles and a Power Mix Technology for deeper cleaning performance at the push of a button. 

Energy consumption has become a key concern for households across the nation, with its impact on the rising cost of living resulting in many Australians changing the way they use whitegoods and other appliances at home. 39% of Aussies are only washing laundry in cold wash cycles, while one quarter now use line-drying for their clothes1. 

The Midea 210 Front Load Washer is engineered with a BLDC inverter motor, providing significant energy savings and quiet function. It reduces water and energy consumption with its innovative Power Mix technology, which pre-mixes detergent for faster distribution and a deeper clean. Managing a load is effortless via the Midea Smarthome app, which automates precise detergent dosing and sends low-supply alerts.

A larger 365mm wide drum coupled with 5 water flow modes and an Auto-Dose function ensure just one detergent fill for multiple washes. Plus an Auto-Dispenser also conveniently senses laundry weight for automatic detergent dosing, giving households confidence to set-and-forget their washing routine to spend more time enjoying the day. 

From footy socks to school uniforms, premium washing features integrated into the Midea 210 Washer appeal to the everyday washing demands of busy households. A Fast Cycle is ideal for washing items that pop up throughout the week in 15 minute small loads, and the Turbo Wash function is ideal for a quick, one-hour cycle to get the washing out before running out the door for work. Boasting 30% more time efficient washing with the Turbo Wash function, the Midea 210 Washer heralds a new era of home washing efficiency through power and water savings. 

For deeper cleaning performance, the PowerMix Spray element distributes foam at a wide angle to ensure thorough soaking of everything from shorts and trousers through to larger items such as blankets and towels, with less water used per cycle. 

Complementing this model's deep cleaning prowess, a Low Profile Wave Impeller creates powerful water flow that move clothes through the wash, using less water and being gentle on garments and fabrics.

Built-in sensors automatically optimise the drying program's time and temperature to ensure perfect care for clothes, with an additional anti-crease function activating post-cycle to avoid wrinkles for ready-to-wear garments straight out of the dryer!
