Australian baby brand Babybee launches MILES2, refining the travel stroller for real-world family travel

Announcement posted by Babybee 01 Oct 2026

The second generation of Babybee's lightweight travel stroller adds more storage, greater sun protection, FlexRide™ suspension and easier one-handed adjustment while retaining its compact 7kg design.

The Australian baby brand has refined its popular lightweight MILES stroller with larger storage, improved sun protection, FlexRide™ suspension, premium recycled fabrics and easier one-handed adjustment.

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — 15 September 2026 — Australian baby brand Babybee has today opened pre-orders for MILES2, the second generation of its lightweight travel stroller, with first orders expected to dispatch in October.

MILES2 builds on the features that made the original MILES popular with travelling families, while introducing a series of practical upgrades based on how parents use lightweight strollers in the real world.

Remaining at 7kg, MILES2 retains its compact one-hand, one-second fold, built-in shoulder strap, extra-tall 22kg seat and newborn-ready near-flat recline.

The new generation adds a larger 8kg storage basket, easier-adjust harness, extended canopy for greater sun coverage, longer footrest, FlexRide™ suspension and premium recycled, water-resistant fabrics.

Babybee has also redesigned the seat adjustment so parents can now both recline and return the seat upright using one hand. On the original MILES, reclining could be done one-handed, while returning the seat upright required two.

A protective carry bag is also now included as standard.

Babybee founder and CEO Emily Stone said the goal with MILES2 was to improve the details that mattered without losing the attributes customers already valued in the original stroller.

"MILES already did the big things incredibly well, so we didn't want to redesign it simply for the sake of having something new," Emily said.

"We focused on the feedback we were getting from families actually travelling with it — more storage, better sun coverage, easier adjustment and an even smoother ride — while keeping the compact fold, lightweight design and genuinely useful newborn recline that people already loved."

One of MILES2's distinguishing features remains its ability to accommodate children from newborn through to approximately five years old.

Its near-flat newborn-ready recline allows families to use the stroller from the earliest months without requiring a separate seat attachment, while the extra-tall seat and 22kg weight capacity are designed to accommodate growing toddlers and preschoolers.

The compact folded size is designed to fit in the overhead storage compartments of many aircraft, while its approximately 7kg weight sits within the cabin baggage weight allowance used by many airlines.

Airline requirements differ by carrier and aircraft, and Babybee recommends customers confirm stroller and cabin baggage policies with their airline before travelling.

MILES2 is available in four colourways: Black/Tan, Black Noir, Olive and Mocha.

Pre-orders are now open through Babybee, with dispatch expected from October 2026.
