Rising costs, heavy headlines, and a free place to pause in Sydney

When life feels like a lot

With rising costs and financial pressures making headlines this week, it is understandable that life can feel heavy. We cannot change what is happening around us. Looking after our mental and physical wellbeing can help us feel more supported through it. October is Mental Health Month, and a quiet reminder to start there.

That is where MindBodySpirit Festival comes in. Australia's largest celebration of health, wellness and spirituality returns to ICC Sydney from 8 to 11 October 2026, with free tickets and more than 130 exhibitors across four days of talks, hands-on experiences and conscious living.

What makes it a story

The pause. The One-Minute Reset Experience and The Nervous System Reset sit alongside breathwork, meditation and wellbeing talks, giving visitors simple ways to slow down in the middle of a busy week. The Ceremony Space offers free guided sessions including Tai Chi and meditation, laughter, somatic movement, Mugwort Tea Ceremony and sound healing. The Healing Hub offers free sessions and treatments including Traditional Bush Medicine Massage, facial massage, red light therapy, Reiki and vibroacoustic therapy. Both are free with a Festival ticket, first come, first served.

The voices. This year's Main Stage MC is Scott Wallace, a breathwork facilitator, coach and speaker who has hosted and spoken at hundreds of workshops, retreats, festivals and conferences across Australia and internationally. Featured speaker Nartarsha Bamblett, a proud Yorta Yorta woman, entrepreneur, cultural trainer and mentor, will speak on connection, cultural understanding and collective wellbeing. She is the founder of Queen Acknowledgements and IndigUcation.

The floor. More than 130 exhibitors cover natural remedies, essential oils, crystals, skincare, healthy food, supplements, books, jewellery and fitness, so visitors can browse at their own pace.

The prizes. Visitors can win by scanning their ticket at participating stands. The Tattoo Label (Stand B20) is giving away a $1,000 gift certificate towards a tattoo at its Wollongong studio. Immortal Blends Superfoods (Stand A37) is giving away the Sacred Health Odyssey Bundle, nine superfood blends valued at $799. Plus, $100 cash giveaways every hour and $1,700 cash giveaways daily.
