A new treat for the 3pm slump, the school run and the snack you'd rather not share
Second generation family-run Australian snack maker Springhill Farm has launched Super Bites, a delicious range of soft fruit and nut bites coated in choc. Made in Australia from Aussie oats, seeds, nuts and freeze-dried fruit, they're made for the snacking moments that belong to grown-ups.
Snacking was always meant to be the easy part of the day. Mintel reports that 99% of Australians snack regularly, yet 37% say they find it hard to make healthy food choices. Somewhere along the way, choosing a snack turned into reading fine print. Super Bites take the thinking back out of it.
Each bite has a soft fruit and nut centre smothered in a choc coating in 4 delicious flavours:
- Macadamia & Raspberry
- Pistachio & Sour Cherry
- Almond & Orange
- Blueberry & Hazelnut
Super Bites are made from clean, recognisable ingredients, including Aussie oats, pepitas and sunflower seeds, nuts and freeze-dried fruit. They're sweetened with fruit, and the ingredient list is one you can read without looking anything up. Those ingredients bring their own goodness, so every bite is a source of fibre and a source of protein. Nothing is added in to get there.
The two-bite, single-serve format suits a mid-morning snack, a 3pm pick-me-up or a moment to yourself between errands.
"Somewhere along the way, snacking got complicated. Every pack shouts a different number at you, and choosing a snack has become one more job on the list. We wanted Super Bites to be the easy choice: Aussie oats, real fruit, nuts and seeds, and nothing on the label you need to Google. Whether it's the 3pm slump or a quiet five minutes before school pick-up, all that's left is the enjoying" said Fiona Whatley, co-owner at Springhill Farm.
Super Bites tap into a clear shift in how Australians snack. Mintel reports that 35% of Australians look for a little indulgence every day, and 48% say snacks with natural ingredients, higher protein or lower sugar are worth paying more for. Super Bites are made to deliver both.
"Our family has been making snacks for more than 40 years, since Jojo's first made a muesli slice for visiting school children on our family farm. Super Bites are made the same way, from ingredients you'd recognise, by people who eat them too. Possibly while hiding them from the kids." said Fiona
Super Bites are stocked in Officeworks stores nationally.
