Announcement posted by Vitamix 23 Feb 2012
Vitamix has been stirring a healthy living revolution in Australia since its first introduction to retail stores in October 2010 with its remarkable ability to break whole foods down to molecular level, making them easier for the body to absorb.
This week at the Home & Giving Fair in Sydney, Vitamix will again showcase its ‘super blender’ that makes soups, ice-cream, dips, sorbets and smoothies in minutes, and launch a new colour for 2012 – Brushed Stainless Finish, to complement its existing red, white and black options to suit any Australian kitchen.
Concerns over increasing rates of obesity, food intolerances and diseases, high consumption of processed foods with record levels of salt, sugar and fat, and suggestions that most of us are not eating enough fruit and vegetables dominate the national health agenda. Many Australians are responding with a renewed commitment to improving their health, and that of their children, by using a Vitamix to prepare a range of whole food based recipes, many of which can be found on www.vitamix.com.au
Breaking whole food down to molecular level
With a blade that spins at 384 km per hour (30,000 RPMs), foods are not just blended in the Vitamix - they are pulverised. Rupturing the cell walls of fruit and vegetables (skin, stems, seeds and all) the Vitamix breaks down whole food to its molecular level so the body can absorb it more easily and benefit from all the nutrients in the food – and at the same time unlock its full flavour.
And, because of its powerful motor and blade, it is super-fast, whipping up healthy meals that fit into busy lives. It also cleans up in about 30 seconds.
Performing over 50 different culinary processes without any separate attachments, the Vitamix does the work of ten kitchen appliances. It is the only single appliance that can grind grains to make flour, knead dough, make ice-cream without a freezer and produce piping hot soup without a stove.
Peter McInnes Pty Ltd’s Brand Manager for Vitamix in Australia, Aleta Wright, explains why Vitamix is becoming so popular amongst Australians on a health quest.
“A Vitamix in the kitchen allows you to make healthy meals from whole foods, fast! It’s an answer to many of our modern day dilemmas – you can easily consume the recommended fruit and vegetables on a daily basis, you become less reliant on preservative-laden, convenience foods, so you avoid wasteful, expensive packaging AND you waste less food as you can use more of it - so it’s good for your body, your wallet and the environment!”
For over 80 years, the Vitamix Corporation has been quietly earning masses of loyal customers worldwide who have made these high-performance blenders an integral part of their healthy lifestyles. Peter McInnes Pty Ltd is its exclusive distributor in Australia.
