ESP Inc, Environmental Service Products, Florida is the developer of the biodegradable plastic sampling products for groundwater and soil. They pioneered the research and now manufacture a range of landfill biodegradable plastic sampling products.
BioBailers are disposable groundwater sampling bailers. They are available in 1 ” HDPE and High Quality PVC with diameter sizes from ” to 3 ” and 1’ to 7’ long.
BioLiners are disposable PVC liners used in direct push soil sampling operations. The liners are made from clear PVC to allow the viewing of the undisturbed soil sample taken. BioLiners are available to suit the most common soil sampling tool configurations.
These landfill biodegradable plastic items have numerous advantages over the more traditional similar products.
Unlike the common plastic disposable items, these landfill biodegradable items will start to biodegrade way when they are disposed toa landfill. Once there, the natural microbes will start to digest them away.
These products can still be mainstream recycled with other plastics of the same material. e.g. HDPE with HDPE.
Products with this landfill biodegradable additive have no shelf life issues and can be stored just as long as any traditional bailer or liner.
Traditionally the non biodegradable products were used to monitor the cleanliness of our groundwater or soil, yet they were then discarded to make more plastic waste somewhere else. This doesn’t make a lot of sense. With the new BioBailers and BioLiners, this waste accumulation is no longer happening.
