and Ginger launched in May last year with a community focus as opposed to a
city focus, and are passionate about the businesses in their own local
community of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs because they have a vested interest in their future.
Coming up to their one year anniversary Honey and Ginger are proving their Business model successful, with Businesses coming back to feature on Honey and Ginger again and again.
Established Bondi business owner Harry Lambropoulos is featuring on Honey and Ginger again with his popular Japanese restaurant, RAW BAR. “Using a small niche operator like Honey and Ginger is perfect for us; We know the feature will only be promoted to locals and there is always a sales limit on my deal so we only sell what the restaurant can handle”, says Lambropoulos. “Last time we found the Honey and Ginger members to be mostly locals with the majority spending at least double the value of the voucher.”
When Honey & Ginger first featured RAW BAR on their site it sold out within 48 hours. “RAW BAR has the best Sushi in Bondi and we are delighted to feature their business again, it is one of our personal favourites, they are consistently good!” says Honey and Ginger Founder Jenn Miller.
“The reason we launched with a hyper-localised community model is because that is what is best for the local business and the deal needs to be a win/win, a win for the business owner as well as the voucher user”. Says Ms Miller. “The main reason our business clients feature a deal, is to generate repeat business. If the customers are local they have a better chance of achieving that goal.”
Ms Miller developed two avatars representing the women who would use Honeyandginger.com.au. Honey represents the 30 - 45 year old career woman who juggles family and a career and Ginger is the single 25 – 40 year old who is living life to the full.
