Google has blocked tracking of keywords for logged-in searches

Announcement posted by criticone 02 Jul 2012

Noticed (not provided) starting to appear in your website traffic reporting?

In October 2011, Google amended its privacy policy. In addition to this Google has stopped providing organic keyword data for users logged into Google services including Docs and Gmail.

As organic keyword data is used by website analytics programs including Google Analytics to show website owners what keywords are being used to find your website, many website owners & marketers are now presented with (not provided) for key product and/or service website traffic. In some cases this accounts for up-to 23% of a websites total traffic.

The gap that this presents in website usage and intelligence results in real world business challenges. After performing initial keyword research, by not being able to identify and monitor search changes for 23%+ of your audience impacts your ability to proactively evolve your marketing.

As Google continues to provide fewer signals and critique websites more aggressively, software automation and intelligence tools are becoming more and more important.

In an effort to further assist our clients, criticone has released a new keyword feature which takes into account a large number of website metrics allowing you to now drill down further into what was previously (not provided). This presents our clients with known and forecasted intelligence along with additional information previously not available.

With greater intelligence and automated reporting our clients are now able to spend less time and gain more intel.
