A Bending Company is celebrating twenty years of manufacturing operations in Dandenong, Victoria.
Since starting in May 1992, A Bending Company has grown from a small, start-up company, to one of the leading metal bending companies in Australia. Reflecting on the past 20 years, Founder and Managing Director, Peter Angelico, recalled some of the struggles of the early days, “Starting from scratch without any prior knowledge of the industry was a massive challenge and considering that 95% of start-ups fail in the first five years, to be still going strong after twenty is something that we are all proud of. We have so much to be thankful for: to our customers for their ongoing support; to the industry Associations such as SEMMA and AIDN for their encouragement and assistance; to our suppliers for their service; and most importantly, to our staff for their dedication and commitment.”
He adds: “Over the past 20 years, we have all seen many changes: the economy has struggled in recent times and manufacturing is going through major upheavals and we are well placed to take advantage of these changes because we can adapt to customer demands quickly. Team Leader Shane, who has recently clocked up 15 years with the company, commented “A Bending is a great place to work, we get looked after by the boss and all the guys get on really well and we always seem to have plenty of work.
