As News Corp & Fairfax are Shrinking, A new Newspaper Is Launched in NSW
At a time when News corporation and Fairfax are cutting staff and reducing publications, the rural NSW town of Uralla sees the launch today of a new local newspaper, The Uralla Post.

When local business man, Duncan Fischer, realised that the neighbouring area of Walcha had two newspapers and Uralla had none, he decided he had better do something about it. The spark was there and the paper slowly began taking shape.
The anticipation has been so high in the local community that the local newsagent had to remove the early promotional signs from their shop as they were unable to handle the hundreds of enquiries they were getting each day. At this point Mr Fischer knew he was onto a good thing.
Today, Thursday the 6th of September, marks the first issue hitting the letterboxes and businesses in the Uralla Shire. With local council elections on the weekend it is making it a highly sough t after publication.
The Uralla Post can be found online at www.theurallapost.com or follow them on Twitter - https://twitter.com/TheUrallaPost
The paper is also available in a PDF format for those that wish. For instructions on how to subscribe click here
