ZyXEL Wireless N300 Range Extender WRE2205

Networking expert ZyXEL has announced the launch of a new palm-sized 802.11n wireless range extender: ZyXEL WRE2205. Simply plug this device into any electrical outlet and it will increase the wireless internet signal and boost your wireless network range throughout the home and backyard.

ZyXEL WRE2205 provides transfer rates of up to 300Mbps and is backward compatible with 802.11b/g. Seamless extensions allowing users to enjoy video streaming, online gaming and Internet browsing on fixed and mobile-networked devices anywhere in the home.

The device is palm-sized and unobtrusive providing whole-home coverage without the need of messy wires. ZyXEL's easy setup wizard and Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button allows you to easily set up the extender, quickly and safely connect to the root access point. LED signal strength indicators on the panel help you easily identify the best location for optimal Wi-Fi coverage.

The device transmits and receives up to 300 Mbps. Wireless security includes 64 and 128-bit WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK modes. Other features include a power switch, an Ethernet port, MAC address filtering, wireless output power management, a universal repeater mode and more.  The compact wall mount design allows flexible placement to give the best wireless coverage and performance, as well as to eliminate the need for unsightly wires.  Users can install it at the location with the strongest wireless signal to extend wireless coverage and enjoy the high-speed wireless network right away.

Build with the newest EEE 802.3az green standard; the WRE2205 wireless range extender has a power switch so it can be powered down when not in use reducing energy consumption and saving electricity
