Natural Stone is a non-renewable resource that needs to be used with responsible efficiency. Local Brisbane businessman Gerard Brewty answers this by introducing a new real natural stone veneer, using new innovations in stone manufacturing it is made by laminating a thin peeled layer of stone straight from large blocks & Slabs, onto a backing material made from fibreglass and polyester resin. Doing this a thick slab can reveal hundreds of layers leaving much of the stone for future generations. It also uses less energy and fuel to produce, install, transport and minimizes wastage.
This results in a Eco friendly, sustainable and flexible real stone panel that is light weight - approximately 2 kg per panel, therefore it is easy to transport, a breeze to apply and also very cost effective. This product is called Glamstone!
Now Designers, Architects, Commercial Shop/office fitters and as it is so easy to install, even the DIY Renovator can get the aesthetic appeal of stone in virtually limitless applications.
Glamstone can be used as a decorative cladding for both Interior & Exterior applications. Due to its unique light weight qualities, walls do not require further reinforcement as needed for traditional heavy stone.
It can be used as a feature on: Walls, Facades, Counters, Fence Panels, Splash backs, Bathrooms, Kitchens, Columns, Displays, Signage, Receptions & Lobby entries etc. and can be installed on: Concrete, Cement sheets, Plasterboard or Villa board, Ceramic, Wood, Metal, Plywood, Fibreglass, Painted surfaces, MDF, Doors & cabinetry etc
In a short time Glamstone has already had extensive acceptance into the market, seeing the potential of this product, multinational adhesive company “Laticrete” offered and tested the product extensively and now offer trade professionals a warranted installation system.
Other large local businesses in the Brisbane region like “Centenary Landscaping Supplies” have also visualised the future uses of Glamstone and have taken on an active roll in promoting it.
In the future, adopting many other new technologies Glamstone has plans to integrate with many other products to offer a larger range of new eco friendly building materials that will only enhance the efficient uses of natural stone.
