Great leap forward for WHS compliant, risk management and project planning software
FieldTeq has been named best New Product at the Tasmanian State iAwards. The ceremony, held last night at the Henry Jones Art hotel in Hobart, was heralded as a celebration of the excellence of the Tasmanian ICT industry. The industry’s importance to the State was noted with the presence of the Hon Lara Giddings, who is also Patron of the ACS (Australian Computer Society) and presented the awards.
FieldTeq’s recognition as Winner of the New Product Category is an acknowledgement of the software product’s relevance in world that is increasingly reliant on seamless and compliant WHS, risk management and project planning procedures. With competition in the award categories increasing in intensity each year, FieldTeq’s triumph is seen as a great leap forward for the small business.
FieldTeq Managing Director Chris Rasmussen said: “Winning this award is great recognition for the team who have put their heart into design and development of Fieldteq. It is also great credibility for us to have a group of experienced judges say Fieldteq is a worthy contender in the market place. The future for us is very bright. While we are selling directly now, we plan to have Fieldteq focus on building high quality software and develop a reseller network to sell and support the product around the world. We are just in the process of finalising agreements with our first reseller in New Zealand, so this is a very exciting time for us.”
