Sydney Property Owners Encouraged To Prepare Their Gardens For Storm Season

Announcement posted by Northside Tree And Garden Services 08 Aug 2013

NSW Fire & Rescue and State Emergency Service are encouraging property owners to prepare their gardens for the upcoming storm season.

Property owners are being encouraged to prepare their houses and gardens for a potential stormy Autumn in Sydney. With a mild Winter just past, emergency services are encouraging property owners to not get complacent in regards to home maintenance and emergency preparation. Every year the State Emergency Service is called out to thousands of properties that could have avoided disasters if their property was prepared for storms.

Fire and Rescue NSW have implemented a home fire safety audit plan, that has been designed to help home owners become aware of the dangers that come with not performing regular property maintenance. The State Emergency Service are also endeavouring to keep the public aware of the possible dangers that occur after a natural disaster by releasing a “Safety during a flood” fact-sheet. Both of these initiatives are designed to encourage property owners to “act now” and prepare their property for a potential stormy Autumn, and dry hot Summer.

One of the major messages in both campaigns is for property owners to prepare their gardens so as to prevent fire risks, and falling trees during storms. Northside Tree and Garden Services is Northern Beaches garden maintenance and tree lopping company that is currently busy preparing many Northern Beaches homes for the approaching seasons.
