QIP recognised as a leading innovator in healthcare

Quality Innovation Performance (QIP) has been recognised as one of the top 12 most innovative companies in Brisbane by the Brisbane Innovation Scorecard for delivering innovations in physiotherapy accreditation.

The accreditation program, developed by QIP in collaboration with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), had generally been viewed as a good concept by the profession, however, feedback found that the program was too complex, and expectations such as the on-site assessment were proving difficult for practices to manage. 

QIP set out to improve the program with the aim of delivering a streamlined accreditation process that was less time consuming and more economical for physiotherapy practices, whilst strengthening the measurability and enhancing the focus on outcomes.  

QIP developed and introduced new software which allows clients to undertake the accreditation process via a desktop assessment with a peer surveyor. 

Physiotherapists have welcomed the changes which make the process more user-friendly, efficient and cost-effective and less stressful, while still supporting the same quality benchmarks.

The Brisbane Innovation Scorecard is a collaboration between Brisbane Marketing, The University of Queensland Business School, Brisbane City Council, Queensland Government (Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts) and Enterprise Connect. 

The scorecard recognises and profiles companies, businesses and individuals committed to excellence in innovation and their contribution to Brisbane’s long-term economic growth.
