RTO system providers sponsor Australian Institute of Training and Development award at annual ceremony.
Perth, WA, 13 December 2013 - On 17 October 2013, at the Menzies Hotel, located in Sydney, the Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD) held their National Training Excellence Awards. The AITD was founded in 1971 as a professional association for those in the training, learning and development fields. AITD is committed to providing excellence, innovation and integrity within the fields of learning and development and professional training.
AITD is a not-for-profit organisation whose membership includes teachers, facilitators, instructors, consultants, course coordinators, educators and professionals in human resources and development. In 2002, they established their National Training Excellence Awards because they felt that excellence in fields such as organisational and learning development deserved recognition.
This year's awards had 8 different categories, including Excellence in a Learning Resource, Organisational Learning Effectiveness, eLearning Achievement and Australian Learning Innovation. Bluegem Software sponsored the award for Best Implementation of a Blended Learning Solution.
Bluegem sponsored the award because their proprietary software, BluegemEXPLORE, provides RTO's and companies with a fully integrated and comprehensive solution to blended learning. This gives Bluegem a unique position to determine which companies are best implementing blended learning solutions.
The award goes to the AITD member who is able to produce the highest level of impact and excellence by “utilising a combination of learning and delivery mechanisms into an existing learning initiative or in developing a new learning initiative that includes a combination of methodologies in the delivery mechanism.”
The winner of the award was the Telstra Retail Induction Program. Coca-Cola Amatil's Blow Mold Operator Learning Program was “Highly-Commended.” Other finalists for the award were: On Boarding Program from L&H Group, Aspire 2 Brilliance from SingTel Optus, the Certificate III Accredited Training Program from Credit Corp Group, the State Supply Planner Capability Program from Coca-Cola Amatil and the Aurecon Leadership Development Program from the Pacific Institute, BTS and Aurecon.
