I Think We Should See Other Suburbs

Announcement posted by MyRP Data 14 Feb 2014

Guys at myrp poked around Aussie demographic data and came up with a list of suburbs, where you are most likely to find a soul mate this Valentine's Day!

I Think We Should See Other Suburbs.

Women sure get around - there are a greater percentage of women than men in most states of Australia! Maybe that’s the reason you can’t find any good men – there aren’t enough to go around.

But don't worry, all is not lost! All you have to do is relocate to where the men are hiding… On first blush it does seem a bit of a drastic thing to do - relocating just to find love, but you might be surprised to learn that the facts and figures do lend some support to such an action.

The Northern Territory and Western Australia have greater percentages of men than women. Admittedly, there are only a few percentage points difference between men and women in these two areas, but hey – a win is a win! And don't tell all your female friends, they might nab them before you do.

Across Australia, men have more opportunities for romantic love than women (just have a look at the graph above) – but before the single females of Australia start rushing to the airport – let's take a closer look at these facts and figures.

Where are the single men hiding?

Well there is no point in racing to the Northern Territory or Western Australia before you know exactly where in these areas there is an abundance of men! And you may not even need to relocate to another State or Territory – maybe you only need to move a few suburbs away in your own city to find more men.

If you don’t have to make a major move, then you can keep your job and still catch up with friends, but you will also be in a much better place to spot those potential romantic interests. So if we look at NSW, for example, you can see in the chart below that there are 22 suburbs where men outnumber women by more than 10% and in some of these suburbs there are more than 20% more men than women.

If you love a man in uniform, then perhaps moving to major defence force regions in Australia shouldn't be a problem. Berrima, NT (27.4), Derby, WA (15.6%), Kapooka, NSW (15.6%) and Winnellie, NT (13.7) look like winners.

Do you like it hot and steamy? The climate, that is. If so, then Mardie in Western Australia could be your new home – there are over 36% more men than women in this town.

Be aware that in some of these suburbs the populations are quite small – in the low hundreds – but if you like small country towns, then these are the places to go in NSW to find your pick of men!

In Western Australia there are a lot of areas where men outnumber women – these are only a selection of the places you will find lots more men than women.

So what about the Northern Territory? Well in the chart below you can see that there are 11 areas where men outnumber women by more than 10% and some as high as 30% or more. Again these are small towns but sometimes you need to look in the unlikeliest places to find romantic love.

Why should I relocate for a man?

New locations and new jobs can lead to new friends and a new love interest – don’t knock it until you have given relocating some serious thought. You might already have a really good reason to relocate to another State or Territory and the fact that this move might improve your love life is an extra bonus in your life!

So here are some realistic reasons to relocate, which may lead to romantic love in a new location:

·         - You are going to university in another town or city,

·         - The best job opportunities are not where you are living,

·         - You want to live nearer to your family,

·         - You have always wanted to live on the coast,

·         - You have a job in another town or city,

·         - You want to move to a better climate.

Many people have trouble finding love, and relocating just to find romantic love may be a bit drastic, but if you have other good reasons to move across Australia, then you just might find that your Valentine’s Day may be extra special next year!
