Why Horses? So much of our communication is non-verbal. Horses are innate experts at reading your body language and even your intent. Horses make remarkable training partners. They don’t care if you’re the boss or what your salary is – their feedback is purely a reflection of your actions AND intent.
Leadership Development workshop challenges can include leading single horses and groups of horses to different places and through obstacles. Sometimes horses are haltered and sometimes they are not, so you must figure out the best way to communicate with the horses and motivate them to follow directions. What's wonderful about the horses is they give you immediate, profound feedback. It's not personal. Either the horse says, 'Yes,' or the horse says, 'No, thanks.' It's that simple.
