Announcement posted by LiveTiles 03 Dec 2014

LiveTiles leader Karl Redenbach was announced 2014 CEO of the Year at the Australian Human Resources Industry (AHRI) awards dinner in Sydney last night.

Named after internationally-renowned HR guru Lynda Gratton, the award recognises the CEO who has most convincingly achieved success for their business through best practice people management.

Speaking at the event, Mr Redenbach expressed that he felt privileged to be considered in the company of finalist Greg Wall of Capricorn Society and fellow winner Tony Lowings of KFC, with whom he shared award honours.

“It’s amazing just to be nominated with the likes of Tony Lowings and Greg Wall who are both outstanding CEOs in their respective fields,” Mr Redenbach said.

“I am incredibly lucky to work with an amazing team and business partner, Peter Nguyen-Brown. This award is for the entire team who show unbelievable passion every day and hold our company values in the highest regard. People and culture are the core of our business and I am extremely lucky to work with such talented people.”

Of the group’s expanding employee base, which covers 11 offices on four continents, Mr Redenbach said:

“Being a successful business today is not just about finding the best people, its having them work collaboratively in an agile and flexible manner. Our business is based on inclusion and diversity with our operations spread across China, UK, USA and Australia. Having a culture that is team orientated and collaborative across these time zones has been critical to our success.”

After co-founding award-winning Microsoft solutions business nSynergy in 2002, Mr Redenbach has moved across to head up a recently established LiveTiles products business.

Built on Microsoft cloud technologies Office 365 and Microsoft Azure, LiveTiles is a user interface design tool that enables business users to quickly and easily create beautiful interfaces.

Since launching in October 2013, LiveTiles has been installed for some of the world’s largest brands including Nike, Siemens and Best Buy and has this week announced it is to receive $2.5 million in investment funding from cloud licensing provider, Rhipe (formerly New Lease).
