Locals Named The Nation’s Best Online Organic Store

Announcement posted by HomeFresh Organics 11 Dec 2014

A Brisbane based organic grocer has been named the best online organic store in the country at the National Organic Consumer Choice Awards.

HomeFresh Organics, situated in Seventeen Mile Rocks, has come out on top over competitors with over 800 votes in the category of best organic online store in the National Organic Consumer Choice Awards.

CEO Johan Gelderblom said that this was the first year that HomeFresh had decided to enter the competition, and the response from customers was overwhelming.

“Our customers were calling and emailing us all month, letting us know that they were voting for us. It was so fantastic to see the support that OCCA generated in our community.”

Australia has the largest surface area of certified organic land in the world, at 11, 199,577.4 ha, with Queensland having more of this land than any other state.

“The organic trend has been growing persistently over the last decade, with more and more consumers interested in an organic alternative to what they are currently finding. It’s great that we can be a big part of the education around organic.”

“We’re thrilled to be considered the best online organic store by the public. We’re here each and every day to make organic food accessible, and it’s great to be appreciated for all the hard work that goes in to what we do”.

Consumers had the chance to vote throughout the month of October, which was the national month for organic awareness.
