QUOINE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES IN AUSTRALIA, ADDS BTCAUD PAIR

Fresh from raising US$2 million in a highly successful funding round, QUOINE (www.quoine.com) has announced that it has officially opened its doors to customers in Australia. QUOINE customers in Australia will be allowed to trade bitcoins and take deposits in Australian dollars in a move in line with the company’s growth strategy to become the world’s premiere bitcoin exchange.

The QUOINE exchange offers great features such as margin trading, interest-earning bitcoin loans, and other services not available on any exchange in Australia. The company has just launched services in Indonesia in partnership with online payment system INDOMOG (Indonesia Multionline Payment Gateway).  “We are positioning ourselves for aggressive global expansion. OFFSHORE OPERATIONS, TRADING FEES AS LOW AS 0% & NO GST

While QUOINE will not be offering local bank account deposits to Australian customers, they will be able to maintain AUD accounts by making deposits via wire transfer to QUOINE’s corporate bank in Singapore. QUOINE’s fees are among the lowest in the world as “market makers” pay no fee and “market takers” pay a nominal fee of 0.5%. “The decision to use our corporate bank in Singapore to take customer deposits was a conscious choice given the challenges in Australia with GST (goods and services tax) on bitcoin transactions” says Casper Peh, QUOINE’s Singapore CEO. Unlike other exchanges, QUOINE does not require deposit fees and has a flat fee for fiat funds withdrawals. For Australian customers, QUOINE will offer the lowest fees and no GST.
