Shred-X wins State and National Gold Awards

Shred-X Pty Ltd recently received a Gold Award for Business Excellence and Export Management Excellence.

The Australian Organisation for Quality – Queensland Inc (AOQ-QLD®) is the country’s largest industry group in the field of Quality and Business Management. They are a membership-based association with over 500 corporate and personal members, with affiliates around Australia & overseas. AOQ-QLD® provides the business community with knowledge, expertise and assistance with integrating their management systems (“top down”) including the legal requirements of governance and ethics, the regulated systems (eg WHS/OHS), and environmental as well as quality, energy (energy conservation), risk, knowledge, continuity, auditing and compliance.

Each year AOQ-QLD runs a nation-wide award program to identify and recognise organisations committed to achieving Organisational Success through Best Practice. The winners of each state award become eligible to win the National Gold Award for their category.

The Gold Award focuses on:

•The awareness of Management Systems and the continual business improvement process and underlying principles for achieving competitiveness and organisational success; and

•An understanding of all the requirements for business excellence.

On July 7 at AOQ-QLD’s presentation night, Shred-X Pty Ltd was awarded the Queensland Gold Award for Business Excellence and Export Management Excellence as well as the National award for both categories.

Applicants were assessed in an intensive process on site. The assessment is based on eight critical Management Systems elements necessary for excellence and sound organisation-wide management. Elements included Customer Focus, Leadership, People Involvement, Process Approach to Management, Innovation and Continual Improvement, Factual Approach to Decision Making and Mutually Beneficial Supplier Relationships.

It was with great honour that Shred-X received these awards, acknowledging several stakeholders in the award process including our parent company Freightways Ltd, Shred-X National Management Team, Shred-X Staff, Shred-X Customers, our new partnership with Best Practice Certification, and representatives from AOQ.
