Sydney Girl Wins Tropfest #Tropvine Competition with a Giraffe Telling A Dad Joke

Sydney, NSW - Claudia Pickering (@thedarclaud), a Northern Beaches girl won the Tropfest 6-second film competition. Her entry utilised stop motion animation technique, a love of animals and a ‘dad joke’ sense of humour. Here is her entry.
The award night, sponsored by Twitter and Vine was held on Wednesday 12th August at The X Studio in Kings Cross. As the winner, she took home A$5,000 cash, a Nikon 1 V3 Kit with a 10-30mm lens and a VIP trip to Tropfest 2015, among other prizes.
While Pickering’s acceptance speech was short, her acceptance dance had Twitter exploding in appreciation.
In addition to this win, Pickering, a director and producer has two feature length comedy films titled “Winning Formula” and “Frisky” screening in festivals around the world this year, including in Austin, Chicago and the Philippines.
