10th Australasian Talent Conference Tackles Recruitment in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous (VUCA) Economy
Announcement posted by ATC Events 30 Jun 2016
The 10th Australasian Talent Conference (ATC) will run on 13-14 July 2016 in Sydney with a theme specially tailored to help talent and recruitment managers rise above the challenges they face in this current age of unpredictability.
Themed “Talent Acquisition Strategies for a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous (VUCA) World”, this year’s conference will see local and international talent management leaders take the stage to share bold tactics and strategies that aim to enhance the resiliency of the industry.
ATC co-founder and Director Trevor Vas stressed the importance for all organisations, regardless corporate, government or not-for-profit, to recognise the state of flux the current business environment is in and to take steps to strengthen the capabilities of their recruiting functions.
“Talent management has become one of the most difficult functions to operate as the world struggles to adapt to changing business dynamics and new technological advances. Increasingly you need expertise in multiple areas outside recruitment to do the job effectively and usually at a reduced budget,” said Mr Vas.
In addition to keynote sessions, there are a variety of workshops and roundtable sessions that explore in detail the different facets of managing and recruiting talent in today’s VUCA world. An Innovation Lab will also be running on the second day of the conference where attendees are treated to a showcase of the latest, game-changing HR & recruitment technologies.
“The talent management community must keep educating themselves by taking time to learn about the latest trends and technologies that are appearing everyday so as to ensure that they continue to stay ahead of the curve,” Mr Vas added.
Returning for the third time, an exclusive, invite-only, Talent Management Leadership Summit (TMLS) will also run on 12 July and it will be attended by senior recruitment managers from top 200 Australian organisations.
Kevin Wheeler, co-founder for ATC and Director of the Future of Talent Institute, said the TMLS is designed to provide a deep learning experience for attendees as well as an opportunity to exchange ideas with senior leaders from different industries who are facing the same recruitment issues.
“We will be running the TMLS a little differently this year and we are going to allow our attendees a greater say in the direction we go for the event. It will be highly collaborative and interactive and attendees will work together to develop solutions for each other,” said Mr Wheeler.
“It is a job seeker market out there right now and organisations are finding it harder to attract and hire exceptional talent,” added Mr Vas. “The ATC2016 and TMLS are designed to provide strategic guidance for attendees to help them tackle the volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous business world that they are operating in today and they will emerge richer in knowledge and wider for connections definitely.”
