Connecting the wholesale beverage community

Announcement posted by eBEV 18 Nov 2016

Save hours each week by ordering all your beverages through eBev’s free online wholesale ordering service and let eBev help benchmark your beverage program’s performance over time.
eBev is a digital platform that saves time and drives efficiency, analysis and industry benchmarking tools for a venue’s beverage program. eBev provides hospitality venues a platform to manage all of their beverage suppliers with all the major wine suppliers including Oatley Fine Wine Merchants, Winestock, Young and Rashleigh, Treasury Wine Estates, Bacchus Wine Merchants, Moet Hennessy Australia, Negociants Australia, Fesq & Company, Fine Wine Partners, Deja Vu, Ergo Wines, Vintage and Vine, McWilliams Wine, Red+White, World Wine Estates and Wine Insights on the platform.

eBev has this week launched the capacity to manage all other beverages which will extend the platform’s capability beyond the current 22,931 wines from over 200 suppliers.

Traditionally, it takes hours each week to manage stock and fulfil beverages from multiple supplier lists, but using eBev, it now takes around 10 minutes for venues to place a wine order with some venues highlighting a 90% time saving to their weekly ordering process.

Through eBev, venue and beverage managers can buy, compare, shortlist, order, transact, manage inventory, analyse performance and communicate with suppliers. Suppliers can list and update product information and pricing, manage orders and track sales history all on the one platform – making their wines available to venues in one click. Only beverage managers are able to access all supplier pricing and information, and any negotiated terms remain confidential between each beverage manager and supplier. All a beverage manager or supplier needs to get started on eBev is an active liquor license.

Customers who sign up to eBev will receive a quarterly report, based on the previous quarter’s activity, that gives competitive advantage with metrics about popular suppliers and products, wine varietals, and price points to name a few. This data allows venues and suppliers to understand the tastes of their clientele, differentiate themselves and tailor their offering accordingly.

eBev are also delighted to announce they are activating the service in Melbourne. General Manager Cassandra McDonald said: “We’ve received great feedback from our existing customers about the ease and efficiency of the platform, and it’s given us confidence to launch in Melbourne. We’re also opening eBev up to other drinks categories so perfect if you’re into beer or spirits as well”.

eBev has already facilitated the ordering of over 23,000 wines listed from 200 suppliers and has facilitated the sale of over 20,000 cases of wine. They have already signed up 850 venues to platform in Sydney, including Bills Group, Garfish Group, The Greenwood Hotel, Bathers Pavilion and The Tilbury Hotel.

On the benefits of the platform, Ms McDonald said: “beverage managers find eBev valuable because they can search for beverages based on price, variety, region, vintage or supplier and they are able to manage and order all their beverages in one place. Suppliers say that it’s invaluable for getting their products in front of hundreds of active buyers.”

The fast-growing company will always offer its standard beverage ordering service for free. In the future, eBev will add new premium features at a small fee which will enable beverage managers to drive additional revenue from their beverage lists through extended performance management and industry benchmarking tools, and for suppliers to identify and connect with prospects and current customers through the CRM tools.
