5 TIPS FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS FROM SARAH MACKAY

Announcement posted by Sarah Mackay Time to Thrive 03 May 2017

Sarah Mackay, owner of Time to Thrive—an online store for women with a taste for candles, clothing, and yoga—has built success with the spirit of her ambition.

In a world where women are still not wholly equal, she has carved out her own space and now wishes to share some of her wisdom with other “fempreneurs”.

Get Your Team Going

Your vibe attracts your tribe, so surround yourself with people who believe in what you are doing and who believe in you, but also know you well enough to be able to throw you a curveball or some constructive criticism you trust.

Have a Strategy

Create a 12-month plan. Ask yourself: What is it you wish to be doing in 12 months? What does that picture look like? Write it all down. Now, write the steps required to get there. Map these steps out over 12 months. It is amazing how people follow a strategy once it is mapped out objectively.

Stay on Budget

Find someone who knows money to help you formulate a budget and a cash flow forecast. This is crucial to Tip #2 and also will help to guide each process. So many businesses start up with poor capital and, when the first sign of trouble happens, they have nothing to fall back on. In business, being prepared for success and hiccups are all part of the incredible journey.

Write Down Your Strengths and Weaknesses

Weaknesses are just an opportunity for learning how to do something successfully. Find out what they are and either outsource them, or learn how to strengthen them.  Hone in on your strengths and work them into every crevice of your business!

Manifest!

Believe in yourself. Self-reflection, positive self-talk, and positive living habits will always be the backbone to a mindful, contemplative, and sharp entrepreneurial mind.
