Fastest Growing Online Start Up Trailblazing The Vegan Revolution

Announcement posted by LIVEKINDLY 14 Sep 2017

LIVEKINDLY has been trading for just 4 months and has already reached over 159 million people globally. A new online start up focussed on news, opinion, recipes and all things vegan is quickly becoming the go to site for ethical, environmental and health conscious individuals. Seeing a gap in the market, founder Jodi Monelle wanted to create an inclusive community where meat eaters, flexitarians, vegetarians, pescatarians and vegans could come together. Adopting a holistic approach to living kindly the female run business is set to become the biggest name in all things plant based, and it couldn’t be more timely. Market researcher Euromonitor International found Australia's packaged vegan food market is currently worth almost $136 million, set to reach $215 million by 2020. This makes it the third fastest growing vegan country in the world.

Jodi with co-founders Katie Pevreall and Nikki Le-Grys, who have an average age of just 27, are making huge successes as an online business. Celebrating their third month on Facebook LIVEKINDLY has already gained over 150,000 followers and has a reach of over 159 million. This unprecedented growth continues week on week and they expect to have over 200,000 followers by the end of September making them one of the fastest growing vegan businesses.

As a brand that offers a broad range of news, opinion, recipes and information guides all in one place, they are tapping into the mainstream in a very different way to their competitors. Founder Jodi commented:

‘We want to create a community for everyone, we are not trying to be vegan for vegans. We want to create engaging, interesting content around topics such as health and wellbeing, ethical fashion, the latest vegan celebrities, delicious vegan recipes, guides and information for people who want to try a more plant based lifestyle. Our goal is to make a difference and we hope to give people the support and kindness to make changes in their lives where they want to.”

This tiny team is supported by just two part time interns and a web developer. All the team are English with the exception of one of the interns who is from New Zealand. However, founder Jodi lives in Vancouver and co-founder Nikki is based in Melbourne, arguably the vegan capital of Australia and the world. As such this small business is building a global network, with a huge audience in Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., U.K., Canada and Asia.

They are continuing to build their online presence expanding their reach on Twitter, Instagram and You Tube. In the last month alone they have had half a million impressions on these social media channels and this is set to continue as the brand continues to grow. This small online start-up has big plans for the future creating a niche for itself by making plant based diets, ethical choices and environmental living part of the mainstream.
