Gold Coast Bulletin to hire digital editor

The Gold Coast Bulletin has an open role for a digital editor, based in the Gold Coast region.

The digital editor will be in charge of processing journalists’ output to be used for digital publishing, using the METHODE system. The work will include adjusting the content with SEO practices, infographics, and video material where needed; set up the website news agenda; writing catchy headlines to further engage Bulletin audiences, and distribute the final material across all channels.

They will also study the digital traffic reports and plan future content accordingly, while supporting the editor in regular office management duties.

The ideal candidate should be a journalist with strong digital content production experience and multimedia credentials. They must also be trained in digital marketing methods such as SEO and data analytics (including hands-on experience or certification with Adobe Analytics).
