  Picture Credit: Navbharat Times The Mohanlalganj police in Lucknow have arrested five men for attempting to attack journalist Mukesh Dwivedi and have seized three vehicles used in the incident, according to Navbharat Times.  The accused have been booked under breach-of-peace sections, and the investigation is ongoing. Dwivedi, who was returning from a service centre with a colleague on Thursday, reported that three car-borne men tried to ram his vehicle, chased him, fired in the air, and threatened to kill him. The accused fled, but police tracked them down using footage from 60–70 CCTV cameras. The arrested men have been identified as Harinam alias Rahul, Chandan Bhatt, Amit Mishra, Vineet Tiwari, and Abhishek Tiwari. Police say Abhishek Tiwari, a local political leader, masterminded the attack due to an old enmity with the journalist.

The Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Ratlam-based reporter Rafiq Khan. The case goes back to June 2025, when GRP Head Constable Mahendra Tiwari fined an auto driver near Ratlam Railway Station. Later, he saw a YouTube video that made it appear as though he was taking a bribe. He complained that the video was edited to harm his reputation, and the police filed a case against Khan. Khan told the court that he did not edit the video and only recorded what he saw. He also said he had earlier complained about the behaviour of some GRP staff, and the case against him was meant to trouble him. The judge noted that the charges in the case are not very serious and that the police should not arrest someone unnecessarily. The court also saw that Khan had recently been cleared in another old case. The court said there was no need to keep him in police custody for questioning. Warner Bros. Discovery and Times Network recently announced the release of Unheard Cries at GB Road, a documentary giving voice to women living and working in Delhi’s red-light area. The documentary features testimonies from survivors and sex workers, highlighting the trauma, resilience, and systemic injustices shaping their daily lives. The documentary premiered on discovery+ on 17 November 2025. According to Adgully, the documentary, produced by Times Now Studios and co-written and produced by Rohit Chadda, draws on more than 50 detailed interviews.
