Daryl Reader retires from radio after four decades

Daryl Reader, the beloved weekday host of Bay 93.9 FM, is bidding farewell to his illustrious 40-year radio career by the end of this month.
Having started at Wagga Wagga’s 2WG at the age of eighteen, Reader has dedicated three decades to broadcasting in his hometown of Geelong, witnessing numerous industry changes along the way.
In a reflective social media post, Reader expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside industry legends like Peter Harrison, Karl van Est, and Kevin Hillier, whom he admired since his youth. He hinted at future endeavours, including a book titled 'The Girl with One Leg' and other untold stories.
