In March, ABC News will launch the ABC National Forum, a new discussion program bringing together ordinary citizens, community leaders, experts and policymakers to discuss topical issues of national significance.  The first forum will focus on the lives and experiences of Jewish Australians, including issues arising from the Bondi terrorist attack, and facilitate a wide-ranging and stimulating conversation among a live studio audience. Senior journalist A.M. Khan, former Uttar Pradesh bureau chief of the Press Trust of India (PTI), passed away at his residence in Vipul Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, on Saturday. January 24. He was 75. His daughter, Alhamra Khan, said he passed away around 11 a.m. According to Deccan Herald, Khan retired from PTI in 2010 after a long career with the news agency. After his retirement, he worked briefly as a media adviser in the Akhilesh Yadav government. He is survived by two daughters and a son. The media fraternity in Uttar Pradesh expressed condolences over his passing.

India TV has unveiled a new avatar of its Speed News Channel, India’s first 24×7 speed news platform, reinforcing its commitment to innovation in news delivery and viewer-first journalism. Under the refreshed format, the channel moves away from the conventional 4–5 second flashes. Each news story will now be presented in a 25–30 second format, offering greater clarity and context while retaining the pace of speed bulletins. The Delhi High Court has clarified that it does not intend to take any action against journalist Manisha Pande or sabotage her career, following strong oral observations made during a hearing earlier this week, The Indian Express reported. A Division Bench of Justices C. Hari Shankar and Om Prakash Shukla was hearing appeals filed by TV Today (India Today Group) and Newslaundry in a copyright infringement and defamation dispute on January 22. During the proceedings, the Bench objected to the use of an unparliamentary word in a programme featuring Pande and remarked that she had not followed basic standards of decency in reporting.
