Fordham signs off Ninja Warrior

Ben Fordham will leave Australian Ninja Warrior to exclusively concentrate on running the breakfast show on 2GB.He said that after five seasons going on camera, the time was right to keep focusing on radio.
“I am not going to be hosting Australian Ninja Warrior going forward because I found that it placed so much pressure on my family and on the breakfast show,” he said.
Fordham’s breakfast show has been gaining ground in the surveys against Kyle and Jackie O since he took over from Alan Jones.
Fordham has been co-hosting Australian Ninja Warrior with Rebecca Maddern since the premiere in 2017.

Meritorious children of journalists to be honoured at KUWJ state-level award ceremony on May 31

The Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ), in collaboration with the Chikkaballapur District Working Journalists Association, will organise a state-level Pratibha Puraskar ceremony on May 31 at Kannada Bhavan in Chikkaballapur to honour meritorious children of journalists who have secured more than 90 per cent marks in the SSLC and II PUC examinations.
Around 400 to 500 participants, including students and parents from all 31 districts of the state, are expected to attend the event.
The decision was taken during a preparatory meeting held at Patrika Bhavan in Chikkaballapur under the leadership of KUWJ state president Shivananda Tagadoor.

Fresh concerns have emerged over the safety of media professionals in Tripura following successive attacks on senior journalists in the state over the past few days.
The first incident took place at Chakmaghat Purba Bazar under Teliamura police station limits on May 11. According to the victim, local residents staged a blockade on the Assam-Agartala National Highway demanding regular electricity and water supply. The protest reportedly caused traffic disruptions for nearly two hours.
“Journalists who arrived to cover the demonstration were allegedly attacked by a group of people,” said Hironmay Roy who sustained injuries during the incident along with others.
