Gill leads Seven government affairs role

Seven West Media has welcomed former Nine executive Clare Gill as its new head of regulatory and government affairs.
She will lead Seven West Media’s stance regarding government efforts to make the News Media Bargaining Code official. Gill oversaw the development of ideas for regulating Google and Facebook in her tenure at Nine.
She will oversee responsibilities formerly held by Justine McCarthy and Emma McDonald. McDonald recently exited for unknown reasons, while McCarthy is now senior media adviser to Comms Minister Paul Fletcher.
