Journalist Anjana Om Kashyap and coaching teacher Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, have settled the Rs 2 crore defamation suit filed against him by Kashyap and TV Today Network before the Delhi High Court. Advocate Vrinda Bhandari, appearing for Kashyap, told Justice Tushar Rao Gedela on Wednesday that the dispute had been settled with Khan Sir and five other defendants, Live Law reported. The five are Babita Tyagi, Arvind Bhadauriya, Manish Yadav, and the operators of two X accounts, SamKhasa and Abhimanyu1305. Bhandari said the settlement agreement would be signed within a few days, and sought time to place it on record once finalised. The terms of settlement have not been disclosed yet. An Influencing investigation identified eight profiles on the masthead's 'Our Authors' tab that appear to have AI-generated profile pictures. When put through a reverse image search detector, Deep.ai, those eight images are considered 99 per cent fake. In comparison, Influencing put two of its own staff's profile pictures into the site and received both a 4 per cent and 6 per cent fake reading. One of these personas, 'Tahlia Brooks', is featured in her photo wearing an Essendon Football Club guernsey in front of an American-style tailgate party. Another, 'Sam Whitford', is wearing a Sydney Swans hat in front of a blurred TV featuring a sport (that seems to be Aussie rules football) that looks to have two scoreboards. Veteran football journalist, author and former footballer Bhasi Malaparamba died at his residence in Kozhikode, Kerala, on Tuesday. He was 85. Malaparamba reported from eight FIFA World Cups, covering every tournament from Spain in 1982 to Brazil in 2014 for Malayalam readers. Over the course of his career, he chronicled some of football's most memorable moments, including Diego Maradona's 'Hand of God' goal in 1986 and Zinedine Zidane's headbutt on Marco Materazzi in the 2006 World Cup final. A former football player, he captained Kozhikode's Young Challengers Club and participated in several editions of the Sait Nagjee Football Tournament.
