5 Minutes with Daniel Van BoomBy Seamus Byrne in Media News on Tuesday, 02nd March 2021 at 8:38am
From the WWE to Jiu-Jitsu, CNET’s Daniel Van Boom has a love for the mat. But as you’ll see in his 5 Minutes, he’s got some deep thoughts on longform writing too. Here we go. What do you do and where does your work appear? I write, and that writing appears on CNET dot com. Anything else in your career you’ve been known for? Doyle to host SKY News Moore-Gilbert specialBy Jonas Lopez in Media News on Monday, 01st March 2021 at 3:37pm
Melissa Doyle is back before the TV cameras - as host of SKY News’ exclusive interview with Australian academic Kylie Moore-Gilbert. Premiering on 9 March, the special will see Doyle talk to Moore-Gilbert about her ordeal in Iran, which included a long jail term over spying charges. Tehran released her in a prisoner exchange in November 2020, but later claimed she was working with a former Bahrain MP to spy for Israel. “Kylie is one of the most remarkable women I have had the privilege of interviewing. Her experience will both frighten and shock you, her determination to survive will leave you in awe, but above all, her grace and strength will inspire you,” said Doyle. “I do not know how she survived years of hell – solitary confinement, starvation and the constant fear of what could happen next. Her dignity can only be admired.”
