Lisa Muxworthy to advise Google’s AI newsroom workshops

Former editor-in-chief of news.com.au, Lisa Muxworthy, is set to advise on a series of AI workshops for Australian newsrooms, initiated by Google News Initiative and Bastion Digital, according to Mumbrella.
"My role as an advisor on this program is to ensure that experiments with generative AI products are conducted in a manner that benefits newsrooms while respecting their values and maintaining journalistic integrity," Muxworthy stated in an interview with Mumbrella.
The workshops will target publishers, editors, and business leaders from up to 12 small to medium news organisations, helping them explore and implement generative AI within a structured framework, guided by AI experts and industry mentors.
