New managing partners named at DRUM

Auckland, NZ communications agency DRUM has appointed Aimee Nicholls and Cassidy Meredith as its new managing partners.The promotions came in recognition of their service to the agency.
Nicholls joined the DRUM’s predecessor agency, Spark PR & Activate, in 2015 as senior account director, then continued into the DRUM rebrand in May 2018. She was head of agency and development when the appointment came.
Meredith came into Spark PR & Activate in early 2014 as senior account manager. He rose up the ranks well into the drum rebrand, from account director to client services head.

Hayleigh Thompson joins Shopify
Hayleigh Thompson has joined Shopify as senior customer success manager, ending a four-year tenure at Convert Digital where she most recently served as senior account manager.
Reflecting on the transition, Thompson thanked the Convert Digital leadership team and colleagues for their support over the past four years. She said joining Shopify had exceeded her expectations, highlighting her onboarding experience at Shopify Summit in Toronto and subsequent training in Ottawa. "One month into Shopify and I already feel like I'm walking amongst giants," she wrote, adding that she was excited to work with Tricia Fallows and support merchants across the region.
Thompson joins Shopify after progressing from account manager to senior account manager at Convert Digital, where she spent four years managing client relationships and digital strategy.

Brett Elliott joins MCO as managing director
MCO has appointed Brett Elliott as managing director, a newly created role that will help lead the multicultural media company through its next phase of national growth.
He will work alongside founder and chief executive Ronnie Navani, overseeing the company's day-to-day operations while driving commercial growth, industry partnerships and national network expansion.
Elliott announced his move after spending the past six months consulting to private equity and other businesses. MCO said he brings more than two decades of senior media leadership experience to the newly created position.

Emma Lowde joins Diraq as senior communications manager
Emma Lowde has announced that she has started a new position as senior communications manager.
Lowde announced the move on LinkedIn, saying the role offered the opportunity to help tell the story of technology that could "fundamentally change how we tackle some of the world's biggest challenges", including developing new medicines and materials and addressing climate-related problems.
Before joining Diraq, Lowde was senior communications manager at Intuit APAC. She previously assumed communications roles across DDA PR, Haystac, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, DEC PR, eBay and HPX Group before joining Intuit.
